Cybersecurity Identification Card
Official ID cards for Cybersecurity Act officers introduced from 1 September 2018.
With effect from 1 September 2018, all officers appointed by the Commissioner of Cybersecurity under the Cybersecurity Act ("the Act") will be issued with a Cybersecurity Identification Card. The card identifies the bearer as an appointed Cybersecurity Officer, Authorised Officer, or Cybersecurity Technical Expert.
Appointed officers will only produce their Cybersecurity Identification Card for the purpose of investigating either a cybersecurity threat / incident, or an offence / breach under the Act. If you are approached by anyone claiming to be an appointed officer, you can look out for the following features to ascertain the validity of the card:
