Cloud Security Companion Guides

The Cloud Security Companion Guides for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust help organisations to understand the cloud security measures to pay attention to as enterprise adoption of cloud computing rises.

Jointly developed with Cloud Security Alliance, these companion guides are aligned to national cybersecurity standards for organisations – Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust.

Cloud Security Companion Guide for Cyber Essentials

The Cloud Security Companion Guide for Cyber Essentials is targeted at organisations that are subscribed to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

The cloud Shared Responsibility Model (SRM) is commonly used to describe the responsibilities of the cloud user (or customer) and the cloud provider in securing the cloud environment. This is a joint responsibility that is shared, and the SRM is organised according to the cybersecurity measures in Cyber Essentials mark.

CSA has also worked with major cloud providers to develop companion guides that are specific to their respective cloud services.

Cloud Security Companion Guide for Cyber Trust

The Cloud Security Companion Guide for Cyber Trust is targeted at organisations that use other cloud computing service models beyond SaaS, and have mapped their cloud security controls to the Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix v4.

  • If you do not have in-house personnel to manage cybersecurity in your organisation, cybersecurity consultants (that have been onboarded by CSA) will be your “Chief Information Security Officers” (CISO) to help you to improve your cyber resilience through cyber health “checkups”. Develop a cybersecurity health plan tailored for your needs.
